ASEAN Secretariat held the Expert Meeting on 8th Nov
On November 8th, in Tokyo, an expert meeting was held with instructors from companies and organizations participating in the Project for Human Resource Development in Agriculture and Food-related Areas through Partnership with Universities in ASEAN Region.
A total of 23 participants attended from the ASEAN Secretariat, the Japanese government (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries), private companies and organizations (Norinchukin Bank, Chitose Laboratory Corp., MEGMILK SNOW BRAND, Toyo Seikan, Nomura Securities, Food Safety Management Association, NEC Solution Innovators, YANMAR AGRIBUSINESS, Yoshinoya Holdings, Yusen Logistics, Seed to Harvest, Japan Food Journal, ASEAN Food Industry Human Resource Development Association, and Institute for the Development of Agricultural Cooperation in Asia. The discussions focused on improvements, proposals, and future directions for the partnership courses.
At the event, Hiroyuki Tanaka, Director of the Plant Variety Protection Office, Intellectual Property Division, Export and International Affairs Bureau of MAFF, expressed his gratitude to the participating companies and organizations for their understanding and efforts in the project. He also emphasized, “Through this project, we aim to cultivate outstanding talent in the food industry and contribute to the development of the global food value chain, not just in Asia.”
