We work on human resource development in food-related areas in partnership with universities in the ASEAN Region.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Japan commemorated the 40th anniversary of friendship and cooperation in 2013, which have been accelerating expansion of their relationship.The ASEAN Food Industries Human Resource Development Association was established in 2014 as a private-sector partner sharing the purpose of a “Government-Private Project for Human Resource Development in Food-related Areas through Partnership of Japan and the ASEAN Region” implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.

The association provides students of ASEAN universities with opportunities for advanced learning about the food industry, information on employment with existing and future local affiliates of Japanese companies and experience of Japanese food culture.We expect the friendship and cooperation between Japan and ASEAN will further deepen through these activities.
